Gaming managers are have responsibility for the full operation of a casino’s table games. Salaries vary by establishment and location. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) numbers show that fulltime gaming managers got a median annual wage of $46,820 in 1999. The lowest 10 % earned less than $26,630, and the highest ten percent earned around $96,610.

Gaming supervisors administer gaming operations and employees in an assigned area. Circulating among the tables, they make sure that all stations and games are covered for each shift. It also is accepted for supervisors to interpret the casino’s operating principles for clients. Supervisors might also plan and arrange activities for guests staying in their casino hotels.

Gaming supervisors must have leadership qualities and good communication skills. They need these abilities both to manage staff efficiently and to greet guests in order to inspire return visits. The Majority of casino supervisory staff have an associate or bachelor’s degree. Regardless of their educational background, however, quite a few supervisors gain expertise in other gambling jobs before moving into supervisory positions because an understanding of games and casino operations is essential for these workers.
